A/B Testing: Because Guessing is So 2010

Bring clarity & confidence to your content strategy.

Creating content that “stops the scroll” is a science, as well as an art. Let’s talk about the science part - A/B testing.

It takes two to test.

Not a big science person? Fear not! A/B testing is easier than you think.

Say you are considering taking a more playful approach to a post heading than your usual straight-forward style. How can you determine if this change in tone resonates with your audience?

Step One: Do both.

Create two versions, one with each heading.

Step Two: Post both at the same time (or as close as possible).

Posting both at the same time helps ensure they are seen by similar audiences under the same conditions (such as day of the week, time of day, trending topics, etc.). This allows for a more accurate comparison of their resulting engagement metrics.

Tip: Many paid social media & content scheduling platforms offer build-in tools
to simplify the process. But even without them, they’re easy to run manually:
post your two versions and give them enough time to collect meaningful data.

Which leads us to . . .

Step Three: Don’t rush the results.

Generally, A/B’s take 3-7 days to rack up enough interaction for engagement patterns to emerge. High-traffic accounts might pull all the data needed in as little as 3 days, while lower-traffic accounts usually need more time.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

  • Deepen Audience Insights. Get to know what really makes your audience tick. A/B testing reveals the preferences and behaviors that help you shape smarter content.

  • Reduce Content “Waste.” Less guessing, more clarity. Ditch trial-and-error and focus on what truly resonates.

  • Boost Engagement & Conversion Rates. Discover which words, visuals, or posting times earn more likes, shares, and comments.

In the crowded online world, A/B testing keeps your strategy sharp, smart, & working harder for you!
